“Zoey 101” & Beyond
Oh yeah! The proudest day of my life was when I got the awesome role of Dustin Brooks on Nickelodeon’s “Zoey 101”. I’ve been a series-regular on the show since 2005 and appeared in almost 60 episodes. Being Dustin is my favorite acting gig. Period. He’s really smart and funny, plus he goes to “P.C.A.”, which is one cool school. I even have a private collection of prop-signs that were used in the classroom sets.
It’s a blast playing Zoey’s (Jamie Lynn Spears) younger brother and working with the cast and crew. We are like a family and have a lot of fun doing practical jokes on each other. After hours, we all hang out, see movies, and play the hottest video games. We spend a lot of time together.
In fact, for the past two years my cast-mates and I won The Young Artist Award for “Best Ensemble Performance” in a TV program. Because of this, I’ve received loads of great press from “Nickelodeon Magazine” and other teen publications.
My favorite storyline was when Dustin drank the “Frazz” potion and I turned into this crazy hyper dude. I was so happy that day, because I used tons of improv for my character. My personality really shined through as I got to run around, act silly, and try to burn out a stair-stepper workout machine. That was tiring but a lot of fun!
Check out pictures of me throughout the years on “Zoey 101.” There are several of me with the original cast, a couple of me and Jamie Lynn hanging out between scenes, one with me and Lynne Spears (Jamie Lynn’s mom) and the last one is of me with Drake Bell and his band. There are also a bunch of pictures from the set on the last day of “Zoey 101,” with Jamie Lynn, Erin Sanders, and Sean Flynn, plus Lil Romeo who came to visit.
